Supervising Physician
Michael Armstrong, Jr, MD is the owner and supervising physician at Advanced Otolaryngology. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a certified Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is the Chief of Staff of the Stony Point Surgery Center, formerly called the Richmond Eye and Ear Hospital. For more information on Dr. Armstrong, click here.

Becky L. Andrews RN, MSN, FNP has worked with Dr. Armstrong since 2001, after receiving her master's degree from UVa. She has special interest in pediatric ENT, but treat adults and children of all ages.

Certified Audiologist and Hearing Aid Specialist
Shantell Lewis MS, CCC-A is a certified audiologist and hearing aid specialist. A native of Richmond, she has been with us since 2005 and performs our hearing examinations and hearing aid fittings. For more information on Shantell, click here.
Molly Milliner
Office Manager
Molly Milliner has been the office manager for Advanced Otolaryngology since March 2006. She has prior experience in medical reception and billing, and is a Certified Medical Office Manager. In our constant effort to serve you better, Molly carries a personal mobile phone to help coordinate your care. Should you have any complaints about our office, or should you be unable to reach us through our main telephone (330-5501), you may contact Molly at 804 437-3681, that's 4-DR-ENT-1.

Allergy Tests
Lynn Martin performs our allergy skin tests and antigen dose preparation. A former Navy Corpsman and a volunteer for the Virginia National Guard, she was promoted to Staff Sergeant after a tour in Iraq. She is an experienced ear, nose and throat medical assistant, and a wonderful teaching resource for allergy patients.

Medical Assistance
Olivia Hudson, RMA is Dr. Armstrong's medical assistant. She joined Advanced Otolaryngology in 2006 and is a member of the Organization of Facial Plastic Surgery Assistants. She is an excellent resource for questions regarding facial plastic surgery.
Natalie Palmer, LPN
Nurse
Natalie Palmer, LPN is Becky Andrews's nurse and performs most of our allergy injections. She is a member of the Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Nurses, a society sponsored by the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery to examine and recognize experienced ENT nurses.

Surgical Coordinator
Vicky Yates, our surgical coordinator, is also a certified medical assistant and our medical records clerk. Except for the years 2001-2005, she has worked with Dr. Armstrong since his first year of practice in 1995. She is the key contact for scheduling and administrative issues regarding your surgery.
Rhonda Christian
Licensed Aesthetician
Rhonda Christian has been an Esthetician with our practice since 2005. Prior to joining our staff, she worked at a local Day Spa for three and a half years; and has been an Esthetician for eight years. She has also been a skin care specialist for 22 years and is currently an Independent Sales Director for a major cosmetic corporation. She specializes in BioElements facials and provides services and skin care consultations Wednesdays and Fridays.
Christie Randall
Licensed Aesthetician
Christie Randall joined Advanced Otolaryngology in 2007 as our second licensed aesthetician. She is available Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for facials and skin care consultations.
Vanessa Briggs
Senior Receptionist
Vanessa Briggs is a senior receptionist who joined Dr. Armstrong in 2002. Prior to that, she had extensive experience at the Medical College of Virginia outpatient clinics. You will likely see her smiling face when you check out after your visit.
Jamie Eshelman
Front Desk Receptionist
Jamie Eshelman is our front desk receptionist. This hard-working employee is responsible for entering all the demographic data necessary to process your bills through the insurance company. Please help her by completing requested paperwork in advance, and always be sure you have your current insurance card and referral (if needed). Although we try to see patients on time, it is not possible to predict or control the length of each office visit. If there is anything she can do to make your wait more comfortable, please ask.
Georgia Burton & Vernice Washington
Billing Specialists
Georgia Burton and Vernice Washington are our billing specialists. Both joined Advanced Otolaryngology in 2006 and have taken the company through a difficult process of transferring from paper to electronic claims submission. If you have any question about your bill, they will be happy to review it with you.
