Advanced Otolaryngology opened in January 2001 with five employees. Our staff currently includes one physician, a nurse practitioner, and a certified clinical audiologist.

Half of our employees have completed either a master's degree or higher level of education.

Introducing our Nurse Practitioners

Becky L. Andrews, RN, MSN, FNP, CORLN joined Advanced Otolaryngology in June, 2001. She graduated from Southern Adventist University in 1997 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

She then worked as a registered nurse at John Randolph Hospital and Saint Mary's Hospital on the medical, surgical and oncology floors for four years. During this time, she also attended the University of Virginia, where she received her master's degree in May, 2001. She was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in September, 2001. Since that time, she has limited her practice exclusively to the medical management of ear, nose and throat disorders. She is certified by the board of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Nurses, and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She is a Certified Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Nurse.

Stephanie R. Jeffrey, RN, MSN, FNP, PNP began practice with Advanced Otolaryngology in May 2002. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1992 at the Medical College of Virginia, where she later opened the outpatient bone marrow transplant center. She was a part-time instructor at J. Sargent Reynolds Community College for four years. She now works part-time at the Asthma, Allergy and Sinus Center of Central Virginia. She received her master's degree at the University of Virginia in May, 2001 and continued for an additional year, to become dual-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Since that time, she has limited her practice exclusively to the medical management of ear, nose and throat disorders. She is a member of the Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Nurses, American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.
